Red Bell Peppers HAVE THE MOST NUTRIENTS —- as they are fully ripe and contain higher levels of vitamins A and C, along with more antioxidants compared to green and yellow peppers. They also provide significant amounts of beta-carotene, which is beneficial for health.
RED PEPPERS have the HIGHEST AMOUNT OF vitamin A, and vitamin C - contains beta carotene
YELLOW PEPPERS are a good source of vitamins A, C, contains some antioxidants
GREEN PEPPERS - lower in vitamins, contains some vitamin C
Peppers are easy to grow indoors if you choose the smaller varieties. One good source of pepper choices is the seed company “Rare Seeds”. Another seed company that has a small pepper is Johnny’s Seeds. Johnny’s sells a variety called Cupid. It’s a small red pepper, good producer. Botanical Interest Seeds sells a Candy Cane Sweet Pepper.
LIGHT REQUIREMENTS - Peppers need light. 10 hrs up to 14 hrs. Healthy Indoor Garden has grown peppers in front of a window with 10 hrs of light. Blue light promotes the vegetation plant growth. Red light is needed for flowering and fruiting. A good LED Full Spectrum light is a good choice.
