Quality Seeds - Always purchase quality seeds from an estblished seller. Preferrably organic seeds. Our training lists established seed companies we’ve used for years.

Grow Containers - We highly recommend Food Grade Stainless Steel Grow containers. The training has resources and it lists our favorite, tested, multi-use containers.

Clean Filtered Water - Use filtered water when/if possible.

Mold Problems - mist with Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide. Misting Solution — Approximately 4 cups of water and 2 Tablespoons of Food Grade Hydrogen Peroxide. Mold likes moisture which is another reason why we don’t recommend using moist grow pads. Also, too much humidity can create an environment that might cause mold.

Slow Germination - Place soaked seeds in the dark for several days. Seeds need a total blackout time.

Slow Growth - —After germination the seeds need light. Natural light or Artificial light work. If the seeds are crowded together they compete for growth space. Don’t over seed your grow containers.

Other Problems - Pests, medium drying out, wilting are usually caused by the grow medium used - ex: grow pads (coco coir or wood) they provide a moist surface for the seeds to grow on but they are expensive and are higher maintenance. (The training provided by this site does not recommend or use any grow medium for microgreens.. Plus, insects love a soft moist surface like the grow pads.
