WHY YOU NEED DIMMABLE GROW LIGHTS
You can give the plants the exact amount of light they need at each growth stage
Seedling Stage
Seedling require 14 to 16 hours of full-spectrum light
Plants need the dark. Aim for 9 hours of darkness.
Plants are developing their root systems and stem strength
Try to be as consistent as possible. Use a time or purchase a dimmable grow light with a built in timer.
Lights should be positioned close to the young seedling. You want to prevent seedling from getting “leggy” as they reach for light.
Vegetable Stage - Baby Leaf and Up
Vegetable stage requires the most light, ideally around14 to 16 hours.
Place the plants approximately 12 inches from the grow lights and provide a minimum of 8 to 9 hours of darkness
Flowering Stage
Plants at this stage would like 12 to 14 hours of light.
Be Energy Efficient Growing an indoor garden
Having grow lights with dimmable switches helps you with your power bills and helps the plants. To much concentrated light and your plant will get leaf burn.
ROTATE & DIM
Your plants need light and darkness to grow. Plants grow both at night and during the day. Rotate your plants making sure they get even exposure to the lights. Dim the lights or move the lights up a little away from the plants if you see the plants are getting light burn or stressed.
