Legislature passed a Bill CS/SB 82 “VEGETABLE GARDEN BILL”
The Bill PROHIBITS any local government state wide from banning or regulating home owners from growing food on any part of their residential property.
Only 2 States have laws protecting home owners right to grow food on their property. Florida and Illinois
In 2021 Maine passed a bill “Right to Food” which gives Maine citizens the right to grow crops of their own choosing.
