1. Make sure the Seeds are Dry.

  2. Keep seeds in a Cool, Dark Place (refrigerator is fine)

  3. Use a silicon packet to absorb any moisture

  4. ALWAYS properly LABEL your seeds

  5. If you are saving seeds from your own plants be sure to use seeds from HEALTHY PLANTS !

  6. The WET SEED PROBLEM - Tomatoes, Cucumbers for example. Remove as much pulp as possible. Soak in water 2-3 days to remove the Gell coating. Rinse, DRY throughly, store.

WHEN TO GATHER THE SEEDS FROM YOUR PLANTS

  1. Beans and Peas - allow pods to turn brown and brittle.on the plant. Be sure the dried seeds “rattle” inside the pod.

  2. Tomatoes - harvest when FULLY RIPE

  3. Peppers - wait till the peppers reach FULL COLOR

  4. Squash - Cucumber - Leave on the vine till the skin is hard and yellow.
